UNIMESH

Crossflon Unimesh Bearings are unbeatable when it comes to self-lubricated high load bearing applications. The combination of the heat resistance in Crossflon compounded high performance materials, along with a woven wire mesh backing of either phosphor-bronze or stainless steel clad to one side, produces a self-lubricated bearing liner of the highest performance. With a maximum continuous PV of 2.0, an operating temperature range of -250°C to +250°C, a static load capability of 400MPa and a maximum velocity of 5 metres per second with no load. This high performance bearing liner will out perform most other self-lubricated bearing materials. Available with our Crossflon 1403, 905, and LR interface, Unimesh is available in ready to bond sheet form, or used as a loose liner in the Crossflon range of T-Liner housings.

Used in either rotary or linear motion, Crossflon Unimesh bearings are ideal for high load, high impact applications where extended life in harsh conditions is required.

Crossflon Unimesh is the ideal bearing material for the severest operating conditions experienced within the Aerospace and Commercial Vehicle Industries.

Bearing applications for the Aerospace Industry are acknowledged as some of the most performance demanding within engineering. Aeronautical design engineers have, for over 25 years, taken advantage of the unique and versatile properties of Crossflon Unimesh bearing liners to deliver a superior performance.  Crossflon Unimesh is used extensively as the interface bearing liner on rod-end and spherical bearings in aircraft components, for example, slots and wing flap actuator mechanisms. Unimesh is designed to operate in constantly changing loads, temperatures and aggressive environments with pollutants such as Aircraft fuel, hydraulic and de-icing fluids. Combine this with high strength to weight ratio; Unimesh will consistently deliver superior performance and durability. It is the ideal solution when self-lubrication, high loads, light weight, high-performance bearings are called for.

Commercial vehicle and motor manufacturers are continually looking for both improved operating performance and extended life. Crossflon Unimesh has been able to solve this increasing demand, particularly on both suspension and steering mechanisms on high performance cars and military fighting vehicles. Crossflon Unimesh with its continuous PV rating of 2.0 and maximum static load of 400MPa allows the design engineer to incorporate high performance with the benefits of reduced size and weight.

In addition to aerospace and automotive applications Crossflon Unimesh bearings have been successfully applied to automatic gearboxes (agricultural vehicles), valve actuator mechanisms, refrigeration compressors and mechanical handling equipment.
