One of the simplest ways to reduce the cost of a bearing is to reduce the amount of material in the bearing. Crossflon T Liner bearings achieve this without sacrificing performance. The solution lies in providing a replaceable insert of high performing Crossflon tape material.
Construction
The Crossflon tape liner is inserted into a steel shell with retaining lips. Because of its simplicity, the Crossflon T- liner bearings can be classed as one of the most versatile bearings availble on today's market. Its performance is similar to that of larger cross-sectional bearings but with improved heat transfer, lower deformation along with ease of replacement.
PERFORMANCE
The Crossflon T-liner bearing can be fitted with any of the Crossflon grade material inserts. This provides the design engineer with greater versatility and the freedom to use T-liner bearings in many applications.
Because of the design of the T-Liner bearing, the properties of each material are increased. This means the design engineer now has a range of bearings capable of PV from 0.52 for Crossflon J, up to 1.8 for Crossflon 1403. Static loads up 40 Mpa and increased speeds for dry running conditions are now possible.
Casing Construction

Its performance is similar to that of larger cross-sectional bearings but with improved heat transfer, lower deformation along with ease of replacement.
Retaining Shell
Shells can be supplied in either 316, 303 stainless steel or plated carbon steel. Each shell is supplied as a lifetime purchase, as only the bearing insert need to be replaced as necessary. This makes the T-Liner bearing on of the most cost efficient, long life, self lubricating bearing on the market today.
'T' Liner Insert
Each shell is supplied with a Crossflon T-Liner. This can be Crossflon 905, Crossflon J, Crossflon 1403, Crossflon LR and Crossflon FG. Separate specification sheets are available for each grade of material.
