Description
High performance packing manufactured from a high tensile strength specialised acrylic yarn that is impregnated with PTFE. The packing is manufactured using the ‘Crossplait’ braid design and further impregnated with a food quality lubricant so ensuring a long service life, even in abrasive media applications. The specially developed high strength yarn has superior dimensional stability and chemical resistance.

Pilotpack 7099 is excellent packing for use in applications on rotating and reciprocating equipment operating on abrasive media in a wide variety of industries.

Approved by Water Research Council (WRAS reference number 0409510) for use on hot or cold potable water up to 85oC.

Speed: 2 m/s (390 fpm)
Temperature range: -100 to 260oC (-150 to 500oF)
Maximum pressure: 100 bar (1450 psi)

Chemical Compatibilities
For the pH range 1-13, the packing is chemically inert and suitable for steam but not fluorine and molten alkali metals,

Sizes Available
All square sections are available from 3mm (1/8”) to 25mm (1”) are generally available from stock in differing lengths depending on the cross section. Larger and rectangular sections can also be manufactured to order. Pilotpack 7099 packing can also be supplied in preformed or die formed rings.
